It may vary from bank to bank. I also changed phones 3–4 years ago and, as I recall, I had to visit BBL and UOB, and possibly SCB, to sort out the apps. With K-Bank, I think I was able to transfer the app without visiting a branch, but things may have changed since then. I’d check with each bank directly rather than rely on guesses. Also, these banks didn’t have facial scanning set up back then, so the process may be easier now if your biometrics are already registered. Gemini gave me the following general guidance, but I’d still confirm with each bank: 1. Use mobile data from the Thai SIM registered with the account (rather than Wi-Fi). 2. Install the app on the new phone and log in/verify your details. 3. Complete SMS OTP verification. 4. Complete the facial scan/biometric check. You may need to visit a branch if you’ve changed your passport/ID or phone number, or if the biometric verification fails. Bring your passport/ID and, if required, your bank passbook.
