Can Non O multi visa be extended

Featured Replies

I would like to know if my current non-o multi visa be extended, right now it shows enter before 02-Jan 2018.   Admitted until stamp is on 30 Dec 2017, can I get an extension and for how long because I read on a web site it can be as long as 3 months.   Also if possible when should I apply for an extension and are there any requirements?
Not to forget to mention my passport expiration date is late April 2018.
Appreciate your efforts.

You could do a border hop for a new entry on December 30th and get another 90 day entry since it is before the enter before date on your visa.

If married to a Thai or are the parent of Thai you can apply for 60 day extension of your 90 day entry (visas are not extended) to visit them.

You need to get a new passport sooner than later since you now have less than the 6 months remaining on it that is required to enter any nearby country.

Dependent upon your nationality the nearest country you can enter is Hong Kong that only requires one valid for the length of stay.

So, I cannot do a border run on December 30th with my current passport even through

Phunamron Permanent Border post right?  Because my country consulate doesn't reissue passports here in Thailand.

Myanmar requires 6 months passport validity for entry. But you could try doing it since that seems to be a relaxed crossing but you should do it early enough to have time to leave the country if you cannot do it.

Thailand also requires 6 months passport validity for those from some countries. About all those that qualify for a visa exempt entry only need a passport valid for the length of stay.

If you do not qualify for the 60 day extension I am not sure what you can do other than possibley do other than flying to Hong Kong and returning.

Are you saying that you would have to return to your home country for a new passport or that you can apply for a new passport here but it will be issued there and sent to you here.

Some countries issue a emergency travel document equal to a passport which would allow you to do a border run.
