Definitely so. Interesting piece in the BP today about a couple of Mormon missionaries back in the 70's climbing (fully clothed) on a temple in Nakhon Sawan during some time off. They popped their photos into a Kodak store and were subsequently arrested and given six months hard time. Attempts at diplomatic intervention by the US consulate (who had great sway in Thailand back in those days) had no effect whatsoever.
