Prawit gets honorary doctorate degree from Nakhon Phanom University

Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon has been bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree in public administration from Nakhon Phanom University.

 

Gen Prawit received the honorary degree from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in a commencement ceremony at Nakhon Phanom University on Wednesday (Dec 13).

 

Lt Gen Kongcheep Tantrawanich, the defence spokesman, said Gen Prawit and his entourage flew in an army airplane to Nakhon Phanom airport on Wednesday morning for an inspection trip.

Yes. They gave him a couple of expensive watches a while back and told him not to declare them on his income report until he receives this degree. 

I can see he still having the watch and ring.

Thailand is truly blessed to have such well educated and dedicated people that impose their rule over  them.

So what exactly were the achievements in detail that in the opinion of the university made Mr. Prawit so deserving of an honorary doctorate degree? This university should be ashamed of itself! There must be just as many honorary doctorate degree holders in this country as generals because both titles seem to be dispensed as generously as soft candies on Halloween.

Another degree to add to many others including a Doctorate in Horology, no doubt.

Now I'm waiting for a Nobel Peace Price for Robert Mugabe, a 'Women's Choice Award' for Donald Trump, and the canonization of Pol Pot.

It's 2017 and terrorists are cutting innocents heads off, women are being raped, stoned and burned to death everywhere, trump is the American president, an NK half-pint megalomaniac has ever grander illusions, peoples rights and privacy are a thing of the past (etc, etc, etc) and your wait shouldn't be all that long 

An honorary degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in Luxury Watch Making would be more appropriate.
