The Royal Thai Armed Forces’ probe panel on the suspicious death of Pakapong Tanyakan, the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School student, found no physical assaults on the cadet and confirmed that he died from sudden heart failure.

ACM Chawarat Marungruang, chairman of the Royal Thai Armed Forces’ probe panel on the death of Pakapong, held a press conference today (Dec 15) to reveal the probe result.

The military-appointed committee spent two weeks investigating the mysterious death of the 18-year-old cadet.

Key findings of the panel are:

1) No physical assaults on Pakapong.

2) Confirmed Phramongkutklao Hospital’s autopsy report that Pakapong died from sudden heart failure.

3) A broken rib caused by CPR which lasted for about four hours.

Well that's that sorted then, moving on swftly.

I don't thin that will land them anywhere expect in jail... defamation. Sad but probably true.

But wouldnt he have had a medical at some point to ascertain if he was fit enough for the army?

I agree with the finding. No broken rib. No ruptured spleen. No ruptured liver. No internal bleeding. No bruising on the body. A clear case of a young, fit 18 year old lad having a massive and sudden myocardial infarction causing death. :shock1:

As a First Aid instructor, I have never heard of a CPR action lasting 4 hours.  Maximum time is usually 15-20 minutes.  Also, why did the "medical" team take so long to respond to the patient's condition and then not use additional medical techniques such as electronic stimulation and/or insulin injections to stimulate the heart?
