Dear Folks,

As I recall it, I purchased a few pairs of CK-Jeans, back in the day, maybe around 1990, or before.

The great thing about these jeans is that they hugged my legs, and emphasized my high points, A-LA one of my favorite singers, Seger.....and you know the song....

For some reason, I never discarded my CK jeans, probably in the hopes that I would fit into them….sometime in the future, through sheer optimism.

The cotton quality was excellent, and good material is important to me.

This is why I am planning to buy a treadmill, if you must know. Every time I see these CK Jeans in the back of my chifferobe, armoire, or what have you, I feel such angst for time passing, and what I might have been, if my life had taken an even better trajectory than it did. If you do not know what a chifferobe might be, then please google it.

Just like you, it is now my ambition to return my waist-circumference to about 29 or 30 inches, same as it once was when I was 18.

As everyone knows, the best way to reach one’s ambition is to declare one’s goal to the world, and then work toward it.  Failure is not an option, without suffering great embarrassment, and so this declaration I am now making is part of my plan.

A good CK-quality pair of jeans, as they were first manufactured before the manufacture of them was outsourced, way back in the day, can last a very long time, and can outlast most men, just judging from the empirical evidence I have personally collected. They were not cheap, but the price was definitely worth the benefit, not to mention the look.

When I was young, back then, I had no need of vanity, since everyone could see that I just looked good.  I was lucky in the draw, and I must admit this,.. that I was blessed with good genes.

From what I have gleaned, watching old movies of the 1950s, it was mostly the girls who seemed to fret most about having dresses hanging in their closets which became too small, due to bugling bellies.

But, from my experience, I can tell you:  I am now just dying to get my body-shape back where it was when I was 17 or 18, because….The CK-Jeans, which still hang in my closet, are soft and sexy. You just cannot buy this quality, these days, at any price.

How many members on TV, today, share my angst, thoughts, and ambition, about our wearing of good-looking jeans?

If I were a movie star, then I would have plenty of help to ensure I reach my quest. And, it is not so easy for one such as I to do this on one’s own.  Just think of all the help provided to Tom Cruise when he needs to prepare for one of his film roles…for example.

Anyway, if you really want to know, this is the main reason why I am planning to invest in an expensive treadmill for my home.

Anyone here willing to join me in this interesting project, and able to document their progress?

Note:  All my friends know about my new ambition for the period September 2026 to August 2027, which will be completed before the end of our world, due to the takeover of AI, sometime in the latter part of 2027.

Levis and Carling Black Label was a great combo ...

Not into gay clothing, Levi’s is a better option.

Still is. I only buy CK now, but I keep my old Levi’s and Jack & Jones in the closet. I have not found better jeans to travel in than CK.

I’m feeling a bit too old for the baggy sweatpants and hoodies I used to wear. I still keep a hoodie for sleeping, though.

I can relate, as few months back, more than few, I was sorting thru my warm clothes box, to give items to my future son. Daughter & him heading to JP, snow & chilly.

Tried some on, and to my surprise, half the pants fit: Dockers, Eddie Bauer (?), some other brand, along with Wrangler of course. And some of those are 35 yrs old., all 25+ yrs old.

I bought a few pairs in Bangkok during a “50% sale” last year, if I remember correctly, and paid around 6,000 baht for two pairs. I also got the VAT refunded when flying out. Prices in Norway vary from around 7,000 to 10,000 baht.

Wranglers all along. Same size for 50 years. Yes, a chifferobe is what Tom Robinson was helping Mayella Ewell move out of her house in To Kill a Mockingbird before she accused him of rape. The bitch.

Even though they are superior quality, still, I think they are overpriced....unfortunately.

Jeans, as I've lost a little muscle in my legs over the last 8 years. I've weighed about the same all along besides these last years here.

I hope you bought the branded jeans in any stall at some Bangkok market or Mall...and not pay the absurd hefty price in some swanky official brand boutique with the music blasting loud.

Gamma, the only chance you have of ever fitting into those girly jeans again is to create a calorie deficit. Around 80% of weight loss comes from controlling your calorie intake. The treadmill might contribute the other 20%, if that.

The best thing you can do is stay at the keyboard pounding out nonsensical topics, keep eating exactly what you eat now, but cut out one meal a day. Stick with that for a couple of weeks and the weight will start coming off all by itself. The treadmill can wait until, and if, your waistband ever catches up.

On second thought, scrap all that, just seek out psychatric treatment.

Levis/Wrangler guy here....They all still fit but the 501's button ups are tedious now.....

Have not worn jeans since 1986, just an item of clothing not allowed in the ''club house''........

I have some clothes older than my Missus 😀

I've kept some favourite items, including CK jeans and Levi 501's, and they still fit, but I don't think a man over 55 should be wearing jeans, unless he's riding a horse or tending an oil well.

I think I have 3 pairs of CK in box they about 30 years old could be a bit more, Tend not to wear long trousers down here in Phuket, I should get them out and try them on, I have lost a load of weight 16 kg, So, all my old clothes fit me again, I've got some nice clothes, the other day I got out a CK top, fit's great it's all black with long sleeves, collar with 3 buttons, the collar is in denim, looks trendy. I know that is about 30 years old.

I know what I have got is two pairs of Hugo Boss jeans, original I bought them from their shop in Amsterdam. I'll have to get them out and try them on, wife will be getting pissed off,

I have a pair of HB cargo shorts I know they will be to big now, Look good bright Yellow look good with a Black T-Shirt, with a Hugo Boss black leather belt,
