Unless you can afford a webmaster to look after the site, I would forget it.

 

I used to sell jewellery online and it went quite well. I had a regular customer base in Europe which I was able to visit regularly and picked up orders directly from them.

 

The online customers went well to start with, but gradually more and more people tried to con me into sending stuff as samples or whatever. I used a payment gateway and PayPal. Luckily, I didn't get conned out of money, but there were more and more cases of people trying to cheat me. "The shipment didn't arrive" "I sent the goods back to you" and so many other excuses.

 

I stopped the online sales and only did business directly with my regular customers.
