Chinese woman arrested in Pattaya over alleged theft

By The Nation

Pattaya police have arrested a Chinese woman for allegedly stealing cash and a smartphone from a Hong Kong tourist in his Pattaya hotel room.

Pattaya police chief Pol Colonel Apichai Krobphet said Xue Zhi, 25, was arrested late on Monday night, shortly after the tourist, Keung Fuk Leu, 48, alerted the Pattaya police station of the theft.

The Hong Kong man said he met the Xue via the WeChat application. He invited her for a drink and took her back to his hotel room to have sex. He said he woke up to find that his cash and iPhone had disappeared.

Police found Bt13,000 in cash and an iPhone 6s with Xue. She said she stole them because the man refused to pay her after sex.

My 2 cents..

A Chinese woman took the money et al, because he refused, as SHE said, "to PAY ME after sex".  This brings to mind a word.. Prostitution .. which is ILLEGAL in Thailand.

Just a question, was she also arrested for prostitution - she did admit the ""unlawful"" act in her statement 'as reported' to police.

13,000 and a IPhone, must have been a hell of a encounter for that price!
