Mercedes-Benz completes 1,000km electric drive on energy-efficient design VISION EQXX concept Now we are talking, 1000 km in a real world test, mountains included. Beautiful car but likely the production car will be very expensive but it shows that range are improving. -
Electric Vehicles in Thailand
guzzi850m2 replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Oh yes, Volvo sells cars here, I see many and I posted a link in my post, another link below. Anyway, I will likely be looking at a hybrid of some sorts, as I need long range sometimes and don't want to charge in the middle of my trip(s). https://www.volvocars.com/en-th/l/brochure/ -
Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Only Chinese EV's on the last few pages, I just don't want one of those, period! On below links, I think there is one from China but okay many of the brands showed are not even sold here. I like the Volvo XC40 & C40, very good looking but 2.6 mill baht. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/top-gears-top-20-electric-cars https://www.edmunds.com/electric-car/#luxury-electric-cars https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/best-cars/top-10-best-small-electric-cars https://www.volvocars.com/en-th/cars/c40-electric/ -
Nonsense man, my 3 cyl XSR with Zard exhaust sounds just awesome. Triumphs twins sounds very nice as well, a friend of mine has the Speed Twin, oh boy what a sweet motor that is. Don't really like 4 pots bikes, no power below 5-6000 rpm normally.
-
So this one packs some serious punch with almost 400HP from its twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol engine. 1.87 mill baht isn't bad either. I could be tempted getting one I must admit and a good upgrade to my 2.2WT from 2013. It does look very off road orientated though so not sure it's for me, have to se some tests first. https://www.ford.co.th/en/showroom/future-vehicle/next-generation-ranger-raptor https://paultan.org/2022/02/22/2023-ford-ranger-raptor-unveiled-new-3-0l-twin-turbo-ecoboost-v6/

I can't use an Aerox, my knees keeps hitting the faring so Nmax for me if have to choose between the two. I seen the Nmax in some pretty cool colors lately, likely the yearly updates.

That captain seems to have a serious anger management problem while drunk, people that gets angry when drunk should not be drinking, I personally drink to have fun with friends and letting off steam (not in an angry way but fun) His superior and the fleet admiral have lost face and are now ball headed, poor guys but they will get over it and the hair will grow back, 555.

Totally nonsense post, why do you think they are more reliable than other brands, huh? Ranger is the best selling truck in Australia in 2021, so they must must have done something right, doubt they would sell many if they spend most of the time in the garage getting fixed! People down there are really using them hard in very hot conditions sometimes. https://www.canstarblue.com.au/vehicles/best-selling-utes/

Exactly, people that thinks one brand is superior is likely a brand bitch or below average intelligent. Totally silly to be a brand bitch, what have that particular company done for you? Provided a good vehicle for x years? Sure but other brands can do that as well, so don't be silly, it's not like they invite you on holidays or bought you a steak dinner, LOL. My Ranger from 2013 have been flawless, been all over Thailand in it and I would buy one again if I wanted another pick-up truck, but I don't, I decided to get a small SUV, Mazda or something like that.

Yes that what I am not getting. Quote: Thailand's EV import tax rates vary. EVs imported from China enjoy a 0% tax rate under a bilateral agreement between Thailand and China. Someone is earning a lot on it for sure. That car is not worth 1 mill in my opinion.
-
Why is it costing double price as in China? I thought there was no import taxes on vehicles from China. Very girly looking car in my opinion. Who is Tesla Bjorn? Never heard the name before.

That link is from 2018??

I’ve never seen a Thai person reading a book

So does mine. -
I heard the hiso ladies in Bangkok are going crazy over that little tin can car. I also heard it cost about 1/2 mill baht i China which sounds about right, 1 mill is highway robbery.
-
I doubt that very much.

Buying and upgrading a Honda CB500x

Strange, I had a new bike with a red plate here in Pattaya and one of my biker buddies also rides a red plated bike?? -
I drove my 2013 Ranger WT 2.2 in one go from Chang Rai to Pattaya with my family onboard, original suspension. In the end my legs went numb and I had to get out and walk around. I fell this is because of the seats are not that supportive. On shorter trips like Pattaya-Bkk and back in one day is not a problem. It's a bitch to park in indoors shopping garage spaces but other than that I like it, I fell safe in it compared to driving some little mini tin can car.

BSA and Norton are joining Royal Enfield in India
guzzi850m2 replied to AllanB's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
The RE650 are selling in huge numbers even outside India, people seems to love them, fairly cheap as well. I think many grown up people in the west buys them as a Sunday toy, kids grown up and left, maybe divorced thus needing a new toy. Will be very interesting to see how well the BSA will do. https://www.motorcyclesdata.com/2021/11/04/royal-enfield/ -
Why don't the dealer wants to help you? The dealer is not loosing money covering warranty work, it's covered from the factory.

BSA and Norton are joining Royal Enfield in India
guzzi850m2 replied to AllanB's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Well they are both retro bikes, almost same cc, toque & hp. Several sites also mention that they will be competitors, then buyers have to made up their mind if they want a thumper or a twin and I bet the people interested in a fairly cheap retro bike will check out both brands. -

https://www.carandbike.com/news/new-bsa-gold-star-unveiled-at-motorcycle-live-2636263 Beautiful bike and since its a direct competitor to the RE650 I will expect the price to be about the same. The BSA engine's output is 45 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 55 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is powered by 648 cc engine. This Interceptor 650 engine generates a power of 47.65 PS @ 7150 rpm and a torque of 52 Nm @ 5250
