Is it more a case that the Cambodian ladies didn't like it when the rich foreigner wouldn't pay shopping money or whatever. They complain to the corrupt police and make up a story?

 

Does anyone know any gossip about this story? What is the truth?

Cambodian police usually demand money from victims or victims family before they will act on a case. For which reason people avoid going to them unless really essential. Whatever the man actually said or intended my guess is that these women and their relatives were genuinely afraid..enough to pay for police intervention.
