agudbuk
UK passport expires July 2018Thai visa with 12 month marriage extension ends 3/2/18New passport applied for Nov 27 but delayed because passport office UK want a different photo.(Their e-mailed notification not received) and only found out when I phoned to check progress.New photo sent 14th Dec, not receivedAnother set of photos sent trackable 28/12 recorded as in transit from Bangkok to UK .I use Roi Et immigration office. Can not apply for new marriage visa until I have new passport. I have read that as I have applied for a new passport I can not travel on the old one. What are my options if the new passport is not available before my visa extension expires. Jip99
You can apply for a new extension but they will only grant it to July 2018. HMPO are very helpful, I suggest that you call them and/or email them to advise the relative urgency and to check for receipt of photographs. If you don't get the new passport you can still apply for the extension of stay (visas are not extended) but it will only be valid to the date your passport expires. If you did not want to do the shortened extension you could apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then do the extension near the end of the 60 days.

kimpil01
Roi-Et immigration is very special. They once informed me that the rules from Bangkok doesn’t apply to them. In their direct words”Bangkok rules not same as in Roi-Et” ?

That never happened in Amnat Charoen, I always give them tip but don’t approve of self service
