Thai kids still want to be teachers - see police and soldiers as glamorous jobs!

Sanook carried out a survey of the opinions of Thai kids with the country gearing up to celebrate Thai Children's day this week.

 

The young 'uns were asked what they want to be in the future.

 

The top three were teacher, doctor and sportsperson - especially footballer.

 

But there were some up and coming surprises to the list - for example computer gamer was now seen as a profession and kids also wanted to be chefs.

 

But top for glamor were still soldiers, police, celebrities and doctors.

 

And the kids all wanted to earn 100 million baht a month!

I have two Thai Niece's and two Nephews.  The girls both want to be Nurses and the boys both want to be Policemen.  The girls just want to help and be kind to old and sick people.    

 

When i asked the boys why they want to be Policemen they both said, because... ''Policemen get rich and have nice houses and cars''.  !

They must outgrow that feeling as they get a bit older because there are supposedly 70,000 open positions in the RTP and they are considering a draft like the Military to fill these positions

The kids aren't stupid, police and army bring in a lot of corruption money and you don't have to work

My son wants to be a karate man!

Well who could blame them, around here soldiers seem to get a good pension, lots of benefits and a retirement watch or two to boot

One thing the locals are good at in their systems for themselves...and that is brainwashing.

Actually, the glamor jobs are working for the government, especially post office and rail way .
