2 quick questions

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

I'm about to fly to Thailand soon (Iseaeli passport)

1)Is the visa which is given in the thai airport still 30 days (plus 30 days extension if needed)?

2)What would be the best (and cheapest) option to get a single entry tourist Visa around Thailand except Malaysia or Indonesia ?

Thanks in advance.

As an Israeli national your granted a 30 day entry without a Visa (Visa exempt entry)

You should carry the equivalent of 10,000 baht in cash just in case it's requested.

You can get a 30 day extension at your local Immigration office 1,900 baht.

Vientiane or Savannakhet if your staying up north Country.

Thank you for the reply.

Would it also acceptable to bring a bank document that shows I have the necessary amount of money or Do they accept only Cash in sight?

They will not accept cash.

If you apply at Vientiane, Laos you don’t need to provide a bank statement.

^I was asking about the bangkok airoprt, not Laos,Since Tanoshi said they might ask to see 10,000 baht in cash. so do they accept also a bank print that shows a similar sum of money (or more)?

They will only accept cash or travellers cheques.

It doesn’t have to be baht. It can be the equivalent in a foreign currency.

It’s unlikely you’ll be asked to show 10K unless you make frequent visits and they are suspicious of your reasons for visiting.

It's highly unlikely that they will ask to see any funds at entry, but the regulation state the equivalent of 10,000 baht cash, or travellers cheques should be carried, just in case they do ask. There are no ATM's before Immigration control. Any currency will suffice.
