webfact
Ailing mum, 71, seeks help finding long-lost daughters By The Nation An elderly and ailing woman in Songkhla has asked the public’s assistance in locating her three daughters, who she hasn’t heard from in more than 20 years. Benjawan Pethiso, 71, is living a dilapidated house in the orchard she and her husband are paid to mind in Moo 2 village, Klong Hoi Kong district. A neighbour, Jarunan Intho, recently posted on Facebook that Benjawan, who is unwell and can barely walk, is anxious to see her daughters again before she dies. Jarunan said the mother and daughters last saw each other in 1997, before the girls moved to Samut Sakhon to work, and Benjawan had long ago lost their phone numbers. Ever since her first husband left her for another woman, when the eldest daughter was 10, Benjawan had raised the girls alone. When they grew up and began working, Benjawan and her new husband, Daosanti Pethiso, now 70, moved to Songkhla to work. Their son died six years ago. They live alone with three dogs. The neighbours take turns visiting and caring for them, Jarunan said. Anyone with information about the daughters – Kurafah, Ladda and Sopha Thienpad – is urged to call Benjawan directly at 065 5060 1109.
