One point to add at the 18-years-brake. If you take her out from one bar, that is ok, but don't take her to another one, where she is allowed to visit from 20 onwards only.

I had unexpected police checks, questioning my Thai girl when driving, and I had even police checks in my hotel rooms (in South Thailand) - one time, I remember, a female police officer was questioning my girl (28 years old, Thai-Muslim).....the girl insisted to stay with me....

Another girl was from Isaan, some years later, 24 years old.... same result, refused to accept free transfer back to her home-town.

To search through hotel-rooms after midnight is not so rare in South Thailand to the displeasure of the hotel-management. Both times it was around 1.30 AM...

My ID papers, visa, driving permit and also the girls are ok anytime....

Why to produce troubles, which are not necessary?
