I spoke with my company's law firm yesterday about this, and I think the answer is that no one yet knows how this will work. I am hoping that by the time my visa is up for renewal in May that the law firm is able to find out all the details.

As of now they are unable to determine how to qualify a company and if the company has to be working on government project in the specific areas in question.

At this point it is just wait and see, and it may end up not being real...

Hi oom, I suspect this is more a case of money buying the visa but who knows.  They are sticklers for qualifications here so who knows....

Yet another grand scheme, announced with fanfare, but zero clarity and definition.

I have repeatedly mailed consuls and embassy's globally as to the exact requirements and if my situation meets them. None of the embassy's have replied and the UK consuls admit they have no information and no guidelines. This is for a visa thats supposed to be available from overseas embassy's (unlikely consuls but who knows) in 2 days time.

Based on my previous work here I definitely would qualify for that visa.

The only issue is that I am working project based (consultancy work based) and I am not sure how that would fit in the visa scheme. I will check next week with relevant agencies
