I Managed to get the PlayStation now application on my pc and started the 7 day free Trial. But unfortunately I still can't play games on my PC or my ps4.

I have a UK account and I just logged on through Cyber ghost VPN on my pc and then downloaded the Application.

When I try to start any games it says something like you are probably to far away from the servers. So if I find a away to get the application on my PC or my ps4 to go through a VPN will it work or will it know the servers are still 2 far away?

If the answer is yes then I need help with the VPN.

There is 2 ways I have found on the Internet what might work and 1 more I have thought of but its all a bit complicated for me so I was hoping someone would be able to give me a simple yes or no answer.

1. is there a way I can open the PlayStation app on my PC through a VPN like you can do on android phones. For example I just open hola on my phone then I can open any app on my phone from the UK is there a way I can do this on my PC.

2.Can I set up a VPN on my standard 3bb router or is it 2 low tec to do this.

3. Apparently you can set up your ps4 to some VPNs through your PC via a Lan cable then use a wireless dongle to connect your PC to the Internet.

But even if I can get any of the above to work will it bypass the servers are to far away problem?

And then will the speeds be 2 slow?

I have been trying today with purepvn but no luck.

I am jus trying to play Red Dead Redemption before the new 1 comes out so If anyone knows a better way without buying a xbox or ps3 please let me know.

I think Buffering and PING Latency (lag) using UK-based gaming servers from Thailand are going to ruin your experience (and those you play against).

Check out the Google Search results from this query:

Using UK Gaming Servers from Thailand

Take a look at what people are saying about PING, LATENCY, BUFFERING, LAG involved with online gaming.

If you find a solution from anyone playing online games with people from UK/Europe, then you can move on to the next set of questions you posed.

1. If you run a 'system-based software VPN' then all applications will utilize the redirection tunnel of the VPN.  But if it's a browser-based (via javascript or browser extension) then it's unlikely other applications on the PC would automatically have access.

2. The standard ISP customer routers rarely if ever have VPN features built in. Usually you need to run VPN client software on each connecting device, or attached a second router with firmware-based VPN and have connecting devices utilize its modified connection.

3. Yes, you can utilize a PC to share your PC's Internet Connection (even if it's VPN'd) to other connecting devices by enabling that feature (if available) or running special software to utilize alternate available Internet port/connections, so the software can create a 'bridge' link from the current Internet Connection to an unused Port (be it WiFi, Wired Etherthnet, Bluetooth, or even the same WiFi (by using two WiFi names).

In CyberGhost VPN just select a Server from United Kingdom (even in the free version) and that should just work fine. Except for sure, that the local connection of 3B is good enough.

Thanks for the help, Actually it's not playing games online against other people it's streaming PlayStation games Via the PlayStation now app sort of like Netflix for games. There is loads of games on there and you play £12 pound a month. I am not really into online gaming but when I do it seems to work OK but I don't know where the other players are from.

I tried purevpn and couldn't get it to work and customer service was terrible and they couldn't help me I tried for about 4 hours and then gave up.

They had a hot-spot thing from your PC which didn't work, Or did using a Lan cable so couldn't get to work on the ps4 at all and then I tried connecting my phone to the hot spot and didn't connect to.

And I still had the same problem with the App on the pc, they assured me that once the VPN was running all apps would think I was in the uk. But I still had the message saying the servers are 2 faraway so they must actually be to far away instead of PlayStation knowing I am not in the UK. I've given up now and cancelled my subscription to ps now and pure VPN before I get charged.

I think if you get purevpn on your router it might be OK but they told me it wasn't supported. But I was thinking it might be a good to have a perment VPN the subscriptions don't seem to expensive. Do you know how much a routers what you can put VPNs on start at?

How you connect to the Internet: LAN or WiFi?

3B service on LAN already not really stable and even more bad on WiFi!

You may try some modifications to get a Better WiFi Speed. There is a Guy in Thailand (I think he's an Indian or so) who play with that around with some good success, and he posted some introduction of the How Too on Youtube under the name of TEST COMPARISONS. May you take a bit time and look up his Youtube Movies and try some of his advice here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMmaSthZOBhCJDO9FnIbX0g
