Their is a Change.org petition circulating on this topic. It seems to have legs but I think we all know nothing's going to happen to this A-hole.

https://www.change.org/p/ File a lawsuit with hunters in the park - be transparent - and have the same standard for every case. utm_medium = email & utm_source = petition_signer_receipt & utm_campaign = triggered & share_context = signature_receipt & recruiter = 161826429

Looks like the Steyr Mannlicher M rifle found near Premchai in the park was in 30-06 caliber like the Garand M1 US military rifle, or it could possibly be in .270 or .300 magnum. The cartridges can be seen kept in a cigar box taken from his red ammo box. For hunting 30-06 is rated for elk and other similar large game.  I wonder what he planned to shoot with such a powerful rifle - elephant of tiger perhaps or maybe irritating park officials. He obviously wasn't bothered by the very loud noise of that caliber that could be heard for miles around.

The Thai news said the little black panther was shot up the arse with the Spanish made Aguirre y Aranzabal 20 guage shotgun, with a slug I guess to avoid messing up the hide trophy.  Probably the barking deer went the same way to avoid messing up the meat.  Must have both been from close range to kill them with a 20 guage, probably about 20-30 metres.  The animals there normally have no reason to fear humans excessively, since they don't often get shot and they probably threw down food to trap them. His only other rifle was the short barrelled CZ 452 Scout in .22lr, which even with his ultra high velocity CCI Stinger rounds seen in the pic would have been likely more to wound larger animals and let them run off.  He probably took that for shooting squirrels and other small animals.  The pheasant was obviously taken out with the 20 guage shotgun using bird shot.
