webfact
DPM Wissanu can’t confirm municipal elections will take place mid-2018 BANGKOK, 12th February 2018 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Wissanu Krea-ngam says he can’t confirm if local elections will be organized in the middle of this year. Wissanu said the cabinet could receive the six municipal election related acts, currently being vetted by the Council of State and the Election Commission later than February, given that there are many sections and clauses that need to be revised. When asked about National Legislative Assembly Vice President Peerasak Porjit’s comment that local elections would be held in mid-2018, Wissanu said he couldn’t confirm the timing, but noted that there is a possibility that not all local polls will take place at the same time, citing structural changes in the Provincial Administrative Organization as the main reason. He added that once the laws have been approved by the Cabinet and the National Assembly, municipal elections will take place within 45 days. -- nnt 2018-02-
greenchair
I just don't know why they continue with the farce that there will be an election in 2018 ? It has been the classic carrot and donkey routine for 4 years. How long does it take a donkey to learn? ??
