Garbage bins overflow at Pattaya viewpoint

PATTAYA:--Trash bins on Pratamnak Hill have been left uncollected until the waste inside turned into a rotting mess.

The smell of stinking refuse filled the air around the Pattaya viewpoint Feb. 7, leaving the hordes of tourists who visit the air squinching their noses.

Clothes dealer Nattanuch Rathiparotaikul she worked the viewpoint for 20 years and has watched as the number of tourists increased and city hall’s efficiency in picking up trash diminished.

The trucks that do come, she said, are so careless they spill loads of garbage into the street, making the scenic park look like a dumpsite.

She said city hall needs to clean up its act and keep its tourist spots tidy.

Time to clean up your act before I even consider taking my family to the "Family Resort"!

The truck are so smelly and left the streets full of garbish and stinky smell of somtam use garbish bin with plastic so street not smell and every restaurant have to get their own bin so street bin not overflow with their food waist

Maybe too many cars going up and leave no space for garbage truck to collect them.

Close the view point........ Problem solved

Must be difficult to see the garbage on the beach, so must be an improvement.

The whole of the City is overflowing with garbage.

Why single out a solitary view point for this article ?

Just dig some trenches leading to the ocean as all others do.

I live on Pratamnak. The entire area is a trash bin, much of it dumped by the numerous buses that park overnight, as well as by locals who have little regard for the environment. Pat-trash-aya.

Wouldn't Pratrashmnack be more appropriate?

Get Pattaya police on the job - they scrubbed up Walking Street so this should be no problem AND it keeps them gainfully employed... well not gainfully.

How about the garbage at Soi Arunothai? Again, so long as the place is not tourist popular scenic spot, who cares!
