Suvarnabhumi airport authorities rolled out the red carpet for passengers arriving from mainland China yesterday.
 
The Chinese are celebrating New Year and the next 12 months will be the Year of the Dog.
 
Airport staff in costumes and lion dances greeted the passengers on China Southern Airlines flight CZ 3081 from Guangzhou.
 
Passengers were given souvenir money in pouches to celebrate as they arrived at gate D2.
 
Some 2.7 million tourists are expected to be in Thailand utilizing 14,700 flights. The holiday continues to February 20th.

Well one thing its Chinese New year"  Year of the dog"  I wonder if the Chinese went to Phnom Penh they  would get bigger welcome for " Year of the dog" We all know how much Cambodians loves dog dont we?
