Battery prices

Featured Replies

Hi guys

This morning I went to Kawasaki dealer ,I had to replace the battery of my Z250SL, at the end only for this replacement the bill was 3371 baht.

Do you think this is a right price?

Thanks

WOW !

But it may be a completely different case as to mine

I'm only talking Mop head here & the battery I bought was 400 bht - Gel filled

I put it in myself

I couldnt imagine a 250's being much bigger but may depend on quality & filling

Looks like.

I see Li-Ion batteries! (is it?)

Different league.

Doesn't sound unreasonable. I think I paid in the range of 5k THB for a new OEM battery for my CBR500R from Bigwing.

You should have went to a Honda or independent battery shop

For some reason, kawasaki charge too much for batteries

Same yuasa battery in the cbr250/300 do the job just as good and cost me only 500-600 in honda dindeang, that's a while ago but still way cheaper than kawa

I  normally use Yuasa batteries and had no issues with them. Don't remember the exact prices but it was about 500 Baht for a 110cc bike, about 800 Baht for a 250cc bike and around 2300 for a 600cc bike.

3371 for a 250 sounds way too much to me, unless it's Lithium ion.

quick check on Lazada shows prices from 460 - 3300 baht from Bangkok

Without having more info that just 'a battery for ...' impossible to say if too much or not.

It is OEM battery for Kawa Z250SL , I just took a look at the documentation I had forgotten to have and I found that the battery features are 12v 8ah the acronym should be YTX9BS.

As you suggested, I looked Lazada website and found out that the cost of the battery deducted a 50% discount is 2267 baht, so definitely kawasaki dealer's price is a bit expensive IMO

Yuasa OEM battery for CRF250 cost me 1,520 baht at the the parts shop located on same road as McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai.

It will need charging, which is something I am trying to figure out the best solution to at this time.
