Though with DTAC you need to have either utilised a balance of 200 baht prior or had the SIM for 90 days before you can make use of that service. You seem to have forgotten you aren't the OP. OP didn't specify exact usage, only 'mainly'. Comparing just the phone prices, DTaC 200bht usage then 2bht/month for validity = 224bht. AIS 240bht credit paid in 20bht increments for validity = 240bht. Not much in it as far as I can see, but having to use 200bht on DTaC before being able to buy more validity is a pain in the butt. I went IN the AIS shop with 100bht in 10bht coins, the young lady escorted me to the AIS machine outside the shop with 20bht x5 notes, and then proceeded to do it for me. That was just to illustrate an option of not having to go to machine to top up 10 or 20 baht to add validity. Not convenient, especially if you are not in-country. If you want to be a smartypants about it and insist that mobile Internet is included, you won't get much cheaper than the DTAC https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/sim-go-plearn.html for 49 baht. Actually no. But I understand your confusion. 3 baht + VAT is the old service wherein you would call *9344 or some such to add a month of validity. But now they have the same service as DTAC wherein you utilise a USSD code to add validity; Press : * 934 * 30 # for 30 days extension. Cost 2 Baht Press : * 934 * 90 # for 90 days extension.
