webfact Posted February 22, 2018 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Hailstones wreak havoc on Phu Kradung in Loei Picture: Manager Online Some 250 tents were damaged as an hour long hailstorm pounded the top of Loei province's iconic Phu Kradung national park yesterday evening. The area was "blanketed in white" said Manager reporting that there was a sudden change from very hot to cooler weather. The hailstones were reported as being 1-2 centimeters in size. Picture: Manager Online Rain lashed the whole north eastern province. The plateau summit of Phu Kradung lies approximately 2,500 meters above the plains and is a popular destination especially for Thai tourists and students.
