Extend tourist visa at Samut Prakan?

Featured Replies

Can those of us who live in Bang Na go to the Samut Prakan office to extend our tourist visa? It seems more convenient than Chaengwattana.

If you have a address in Samut Prakan that is the office you have to use to apply for the extension.

If you went to Chaeng Wattana they would likely turn you away.

Normally I go to Chaengwattana but I notice the Samut Prakan office is closer. Do you have to be living in Samut Prakan to use that office? Bang Na isn't.

Correct

But there are some areas that are in Samut Prakan that some people call Bangna since there is no distinct dividing line.

The only way to know for sure is to check the address for where you are living.

I'm right next to Udom Suk station so I don't think I'm anywhere near the border. Presumably that means I have to go to Chaengwattana. I've been there before while living at my current address and haven't been turned away.

You are certainly in Bangkok so you have to use Chaeng Wattana.

At least you are close to the BTS which makes it an easier trip.
