Maps: 12 Ways to Divide Thailand

From dialects, choices of booze, and what types of rice Thais prefer, a sarcastic set of politically incorrect maps “12 Ways to Divide Thailand” went viral on Facebook this week.

These hilarious, yet thought-provoking maps were made by international news reporter and Post Today columnist Kornkit Disthan, who said he was inspired by Bulgarian artist Yanko Tsvetkov, known for his best seller book “Atlas of Prejudice.”

Kornkit, who did not immediately reply to Coconuts’ request for comments, disclaimed in his Facebook post, “Please don’t take it seriously, folks, because there’s nothing serious about these maps.”

I would not have imagined hilarious would be the best way to describe them. Stupid and childish would be a more generous description.

Very true.

Division by Mandalas probably the most realistic.

Could have been much juicier but then you'd spend the rest of your days in jail.

Put it in the brochures. Thailand 101

Missing "The Beach" on map #12...:whistling:

With only two labels on the map, you'd think they'd get the cannabis one correct. It's Cannabis sativa that grows around here, not Cannabis indica.
