steveolevi
I'm in Riverside condo Chiang Mai. I have old (unknown) countertops that need either replacing or resurfacing. I'm told that Simple Green makes a good cleaner and a good polish that might bring them back to shine, but I'm nto sure how realistic that is - looking for experienced advice. I also might re-surface, but a lot of dust and noise or, replace with Granito which I heard would be much cheaper. Any suggestions. Thanks
bankruatsteve
If genuine granite just about any kitchen/bath cleaner should restore to it's original buff. I've had granite counter tops, floors, and walls over many years and never had a situation that required re-surfacing.
oldwelshman
If it is granite it does not need re surfacing I tis the surface, may be stained and scratched. All they do is sand it with various diamond blades finishing with very high grade diamond wet stones https://countertopguides.com/guides/polish-granite-restore-factory-shine.html
fredob43
May I ask a question. Is it Granite or Marble??? As have never known granite to mark in all my years of fitting/using it. I have it on my driveway, the Lump drives over it several times a day and it's still as good a new. Not even a scratch. Marble on the other hand will mark big time. A snap if you can manage it would help.
wayned
I wou;d go to one of the places that sells and cuts the polished granite pieces and ask them to come and resurface the existing tops in place. Worth a try!
