Most likely some snake oil. Buy a bottle of Betadine from a Pharmacy, & apply it.

 

Do you actually have a medical condition that requires you to take Iodine?

I just eat a sheet or two of Nori seaweed per day.

 

He does the research and according to Dr. Michael Greger at nutritionfacts,org, that's about all you require for your iodine needs.

I make my own Lugol's 5% iodine solution.

 

It's easy and VERY cheap this way. A small investment will buy you enough iodine to last you a lifetime.

 

There are plenty of YouTube videos explaining how to make it. 

 

You can buy the raw ingredients on eBay. You need KI (potassium iodide) and prilled iodine (99% pure iodine). You'll even get free shipping as they are from China.
