Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028
The phone has to be connected to the wifi in the store or connected over the phone network not easy for your average retiree .hell most delivery prople dont know how to use Google msps so this has little or no chance ever think before making disparaging statements. The retailer will be paying the charges and the banks will reap the rewards. Not forgetting the phone companies who will be charging for the connection. Draw cash out of a Mc no charge with cashless the bank banks charge they will not be operating it free. -

Bus Crashes into Pickup Truck, Which Overturns, 10 Injured in Collision: Pathum Thani
I had my last comment deleted. The point I wanted to make: - the article mentions 'Factory bus'... and 'construction workers'.... So I'm not sure the bus was transporting the workers... as it was a 'factory bus'.... Thus, I suspect the injured construction workers were in the pickup... -

Which state that Trump won in 2020 will he lose this time?
The question basically us- and I thought it was clear - is 232 Trump's base line? I don't see any road to victory that doesn't start with Georgia. And no road exists if he loses any state he won in 2020. -

Having kids when old
The chances of a child having autism have increased worldwide but not because of age of a parent. 1 in 36 born now has autism, up from 1 in 44 not too long before. There are studies going on now , trying to figure out a cause for this. -

What free and new online tools would be useful for your life in Thailand?
I'd pay extra to ensure that I'm sitting next to a dog on a plane or public transport. Better than 99% of most humans. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Ah, now I understand our disconnect. You're only remitting part of your rental income. And as such, you can call that remittance from either a gross or net figure -- and, of course, gross allows you to take the 30% deduction. I'd been assuming you were remitting all your rental proceeds. And since remittances are a cash flow situation -- and since cash expenses reduce you cash rental income -- then that rental remittance cash flow to Thailand -- would be net rental income. We were on different frequencies. But, when we go to worldwide income, this cash flow peculiarity will disappear -- and what will be subject to Thai taxation will be net rentals, i.e., using the US example -- the rental figure included in the "gross income" line on your 1040 (yes, a confusing contradiction of terms -- no one ever called the IRS bright). I guess a discussion for another day. -

Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028
Going completely cashless is really dumb, there should be many ways to pay for items and some are more appropriate than others for differing transactions. Aside from the obvious invasion of privacy regarding the banks/government knowing what you spend every baht on, right down to groceries, it's the surrendering of complete control to the financial institutions which will make them even more powerful than they are now... citizen credit scores etc. will be on the way like in China, spend too much on beer and your score goes down etc., very Orwellian. Secondly, and more importantly, you'll have to rely on an internet connection to buy anything at all... how dumb is that? What happens when the connection goes down and the useless ISP takes a day to get it back? What happens when the inevitable large solar storm hits and knocks out a few satellites (something like the Carrington Event, lucky it was only the telegraph operating back then). These lazy kiddie sheeple are walking blindly into a dystopian future which will strip away personal freedoms and privacy... but hey, as long as they can gaze into their phones and be distracted by mind-numbing TikTok shorts and Facepalm etc., no-one will notice or care. -

Those were the days.
I played amateur and some semi-pro until retiring at 42. I was getting injured and couldn't shake them off. Got a groin injury, in Lincolnshire somewhere, and it stayed with me all season. Time to stop. There was a match in Hainault. I was watching a game and a player went off injured. They had no sub on hand (although at that time there was none allowed in the higher levels). I had my kit in the car boot and offered to take his place. Accepted by all. The ref came over and said not to head the ball. Well; I plain forgot. The dizziness stayed with me for days. I couldn't drive home. Good job the wife was with me. Who was still a learner. Never heard the end of it from her. -

Harris Lies, Americans Die. Illegal Aliens are more Important
Other sources, means other democrat's controlled mainstream Media like CNN and NBC? Here is small example of NYT lies: Do your OWN research and don't assume all that these outlets tell you is true... I am glad that so many members of this forum are already awake, maybe humanity can be saved. -

Cannabis-Intoxicated British Man Arrested for Trespassing and Overstay
Thats a strong swing of the pendulum... Almost as if there is not longer a balanced argument, just the voices of extremes to counter the other extreme...
