They seem to be expanding and promise more news stories.

From the link:

"But be assured our heart is still in Phuket with a second office opening up in Kamala, two new Thaiger radio stations on the island, more Thai news for our growing local audience, new local staff and more services being introduced on our website focussed on Phuket. Phuket continues to grow and evolve and so do we."

Hopefully they achieve a reasonable balance between news and advertising.

Sounds to me more advertising and useless stuff.

Interesting that yesterday Tim Newton announced that todays video news show will be the final Thaiger Today show.

As it is presented as being in association with Thaivisa and The Nation it seems a little odd it is finishing.

Yes. Its only gotten worse.
Phuket news is only marginally better.

Imho Phuket News went nosedive few years back. It used to be quite good earlier.

Separating news and advertising departments would be optimal, but it's not likely to happen in here.

They seem to have roughly 400 views per video on Youtube. I doubt that amount pays the bills. Perhaps the numbers are higher on other social medias.
