webfact Posted March 29, 2018 Share Posted March 29, 2018 French tourist dies on visit to scenic southern Thailand cave Picture: Daily News A French tourist died while visiting the scenic Emerald Cave (Morakot Cave) on Muk Island in Trang. The cave is on the list of "Unseen Thailand" reported Daily News. Jose Michel Rusebeker, 62, (name transliterated from Thai) was on a trip with his wife when he passed out in the cave. Despite the efforts of a member of the public and park rangers he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at Sikao Hospital in the southern Thai province. Doctors believe he had a heart attack in the stifling hot conditions of the cave. An autopsy is being carried out and the embassy has been informed.
