March 31, 20188 yr Somehow just do not see the current Thai government being very cooperative. Brought some small number of parts in from Vietnam and paid a crazy high duty. ASEAN trade benefits do not seem all that clear especially given Thailand's desire to go from 0.2 to 4.0 . To be fair, Vietnam is far worse when it comes to duties. Old blood and guts is talking less these days. Seems like he would like to run for office. The advancement of Thailand would be severely hampered should he become PM again. March 31, 20188 yr Popular Post I think he should attend in his period costume. Show openly the region's propensity for feudalism.

March 31, 20188 yr Popular Post As Gen Prayuth enjoys living in the past I wonder how he feels about dealing with Vietnam and Laos after 30 years of denigrating them as heathen communists. Does he admire their ability to wield absolute power in a way that he must envy or are they still the enemy not to be trusted? Funny how old enemies are now your nearest compatible friends, all despising real democratic govt.

March 31, 20188 yr No doubt he'll take a walk across Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi to show the neighbors his God like powers.

Probably has less to say because he is busy running around handing out the 100 billion Thai Niyom free money to try to buy himself some popularity before the big day, whenever that might be. Took a while to learn from the "old dog" Thaksin on how money wins potential voters but it seems at last the penny has finally dropped.
