A former White House communications director has reignited speculation about the state of President Donald Trump's marriage, saying first lady Melania Trump is unlikely to leave her husband despite what he called his 'idiotic' behaviour and suggesting the pair may no longer be living under the same roof.

As long as she gets paid....

Not to forget, once her White House Days are over, she will publish her memoires: "My live besides a man that would be king". With some juicy details of course.

Dwarfing any bestsellers before, ever written by any other "celebrity".

I'm not an expert in body language but it's fairly easy to tell that she dislikes him and disrespects him, much the same as most of America.

No doubt she has the same sort of arrangement that Bill and Hillary had and countless other couples. I doubt she would want to leave her lifestyle behind, and I doubt that Don would treat her kindly if she did.

Having said that she's probably the least significant, the least important and least relevant first lady in recent memory, if not ever.

But she knows how he "ticks" away from any cameras. Her memoires a guaranteed bestseller.

Money is a powerful incentive and she’ll fight tooth and nail to get as much of it as possible. She’s 56, she won’t have too long to wait. The wind will be out of the windbag when his third term is over.

Sure knows how to play the long game and even go down in history.

I would very much doubt she has the same arrangement as Bill and Hillary Clinton; that is evidently a completely different arrangement (whatever you think of the Clinton politics).

The President has been married twice before; the first broke down because of his adultery, the second, instituted by him, because he found marriage too constricting. A fair assessment how it would go if he divorced a third time would be extremely combative, publicly humiliating and personally dismissive toward a wife during a marital breakdown, while simultaneously negotiating substantial financial settlements and eventually maintaining cordial relationships with his former spouse.

I suspect its your prejudice that dismissed Melania as "the least significant, the least important and least relevant first lady in recent memory, if not ever". Less important than Mamie Eisenhower or Bess Truman? Melania campaigned for the TAKE IT DOWN Act, and secured significant funding for housing support for young people leaving foster care, and also established the Fostering the Future programme. She's probably in the bottom 4 or 5 of postwar Presidential wives, but is certainly not without influence.

I do find it odd though that the US has this habit of assigning the Presidential spouse "an office". Their name is never on a ballot paper. Why should any of them be considered "important"?

She has nothing to go back to in old country.

They burn down statue of Queen of America already. 😥
