Non immigrant visa

Featured Replies

I had applied for non immigrant work visa which is B m, but now I got visa stamped as IB, is this fine to work in Thailand or should I get it changed to visa B type

Are you in India perchance? They seem to have their own designations for the visa types.

Can you post a scan/photo of the visa (with personal details obscured). I'm pretty sure it will be OK but best for the experts to check.

Don't forget, you can't actually work until your work-permit is in place.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

There are different types of B visa. B (Teaching) is for  visa to teach below university level. IB visa for for people whose work will bring benefits to Thailand and mainly for industries like export, technology transfer, etc.

Where does smart visa fit into this category? Is it a completely separate visa or a part of Business visa? Apparently smart visa does not require a work permit to work in Thailand but salary should be at least 200K

It is different from all the others. You can find topics about it on this forum.
