Vientiane non-b visa (teaching)

Recommended Posts

I thought the same - but he didn’t think it was about the police clearance. I have asked him to try and find out why - if he does, I’ll post the reason - but it’s concerning that it was a lot of teachers being refused not just 1 or. 2

I have not heard of any changes.

Perhaps they did not have a police clearance certificate.

List of requirements are here.  http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non-B teacher.pdf

Any idea if Savannakhet is asking for such a clearance?

OP, if you know somebody personally, please ask why they had been refused.

There can be many reasons. Not paid tax last year, missing documents, etc.

Sorry, OP< we've posted at the same time.

Sorry, OP

My friend is in Vientiane now and he will try to find out

I think Savanakhet is easier - agencies were sending the teachers there rather than going to Vientiane but they were in Nong Khai !!

Do you have to make a border run every 3 month with an Non-B (teaching) visa?

If it's a one year multi entry yes you do need to out/in every 90 days.

If it was a single 90 day B visa and has been converted to an extension of stay for 1 year then either you or the school will have have to do 90 day reports at your local Imm' office where the conversion was done.

No unless you were able to get a multiple entry non-b visa (not available within the region).

Most people apply for a one year extension of stay based upon teaching at a immigration office which only requires reports of staying longer than 90 days in the country.
