The Thai Meteorological Department warned people in most parts of the country except the southern and eastern regions to brace for another round of summer storms during April 15-18.

In an announcement issued Wednesday (April 11) , the Weatherman said that the Northeast and the East would be hit by thunderstorm, strong wind and lightning with hail storm in certain parts on April 15 followed by the northern and central regions, including Bangkok, which would face the turbulent weather on the following day.

The freak storms were attributable to the cold front from China which will blanket upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea as Thailand is experiencing hot weather.

Yesterday afternoon I checked the weather forecast for the North and it showed no rain for the next ten days, two hours later the storm from h*ll broke loose and a protracted deluge swamped us. Half an hour later I checked the weather report again and it showed heavy rain that afternoon, now we have an article warning us of heavy rain - sheesh guys, is that a crystal ball or a rear view mirror!

Just like the big ol' storms that were supposed to hit 5 & 6 April?

Seriously, why bother with these spurious and pointless 'weather reports'? Like it's just time to chuck one out every 10 days or so. It's the tropics, the weather is the same every day, with small seasonal changes. So, now it's hot, with the outside chance of a local storm. We know that because it's April.

I would love it to chuck it down 24/7 during Songkran.

Thunder and lighting and heavy rain for days.

Fridge is topped up with as a friend of mine used to say 'an ample suffiency' of the wobbly sandal liquids.

Just please no power cuts, thinks, must ask my wife to get a load of ice just in case.

So hot where i am up north that i really would love this but as the other poster said no power cuts please.

............so the authorities are already covering their a55es for a higher death toll on the roads this year

There was one a few years ago. I suppose some locals claimed even the spirits joined in the soakings
