youreavinalaff
What's the situation with expats and western food in the SriThep and Wichian Buri areas of Petchabun? Anywhere to meet up? Anywhere to buy some western treats? Thanks.

phutoie2
Wichian town - Norms Bar , The Local, Swiss blokes bar, Indoor market bar. More farangs here than sugar cane. I know of 2 golf societies and a weekly fishing meet up. Too many places to mention for western food, both are big Phetchabun amphurs. The Brit in Norms bar (on the high street) will give you all the gen, he does a decent UK style Sunday lunch. WB, Phu Toei, & Sri Thep all have good markets, plus a Big C and Tesco Lotus mini shopping malls recently opened. Unless you are a big Makro fan no need to trek up to Phetchabun anymore. Not sure about a social scene in Sri Thep, I only use the place for banking now, Bangkok Bank and SCB being there.
