GT730 2GB D3 64B v INTEL HD

Featured Replies

Thinking of changing my PC  but not  very up on technology

Any advice which graphics card I should buy all other specs the same but the choice if these two cards

Cheers

Intel HD graphics are built into the processor so are not actually a graphics card per se.

What will you use your PC for? Intel HD graphics are fine for playing videos but not great for gaming.

If you intend to game, the display resolution would dictate what level of card you need to buy.

^^^ What he said however ,,,

depends upon the age of your current desktop, ie the CPU

Older versions of Intel HD graphics were lame.

Even the latest generation sux for any gaming.

Any low budget card beats Intel HD graphics for 'some' gaming, however

best to research what 'discrete' graphics card is preferred

for the game(s) you play, you will likely want a mid-level card.

BUT it is important to know what version of PCI-E slot is on the motherboard.

Else the card may not fit or be usable.

It is impossible for me to acquire a 'discrete' graphics card for my 12 yo desktop.

As nothing past 2009 is compatible.

Thanks for the advice guys

I did mislead you a little what I should have said is that I am going to buy a completely new PC  and the only difference between the two I have chosen is the  graphic card

However from your replies I gather  that if I play games the GT730 is the better choice so that helps

Why are you looking to buy an obsolete, bottom of the range card? Intel's top HD graphics on a current Intel chip will perform a little better.

You really need at least a GTX1050ti if you want to play any decent games at 1080p.

You should be able to play windows "chess' with the 730 without fear of stutters freezing or CTD
