Pol Gen Chatchawal Suksomjit was on Monday (April 23) appointed by National Legislative Assembly president Pornpetch Wichitcholachai to head a panel to investigate an audio clip involving the selection of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

In the audio clip, which was believed to be recorded during a meeting of the NLA members last week, a man said he was told that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha “was not happy” with the list of 14 NBTC candidates and would like to use his power to scrap it all.

Mr Pornpetch said that, initially, there were two assumptions about the audio clip in question:  the first was that the clip was doctored and the second was that someone had secretly recorded conversations in the meeting.

Or, in a nut-shell, the clip was either A, 'doctored' or B, an actual recording. Not a bad conclusion to be reached - 5 DAYS AFTER THE EVENT . . . why must Thailand's top-dogs be so slow in getting to the bone? Nice azure blue jacket, though . . . Prayut's fashion fad is catching on, sadly. I hear tell that these things are only worn once and at what cost I dread to think. Prayut must be on his 1,300th, at least, so at, let's say, B5,000 each, that's over six and a half million bahts, just on his girly jackets. And all this for the man who's not man enough to admit that he was the one who ordered the scrapping of the nominations list in the first place . . . the most cowardly 'soldier-but-now-politician' on the planet..

If Mr P wants it scrapped then just scap it! what's all the fuss about?

It seems the various selection committees are hopeless due to the current conflict between the military and the Dems. They did as usual, select "yellow" profiles, but now it is not enough. They must not be linked to the Dems! Kind of difficult to find competent people who are both for the military and against the Dems. My assumption is that most of the yellow intelligentsia is closer to the Dems than to the military

The audio tape should be sent to an audio technician who can do an analysis and tell them:

1. If the tape has been altered at any point and how.

2. Identify the various protagonists on the tape within a high probabilty range.

This would take a day or two.

Well Surprise surprise now he has used Article 44 to scrap the list!
