TuanLindsay
If I could bother forum members again on a visa question, (I have two chums to whom I appear to be a mentor on these matters). Is it straightforward to move from an extension based on retirement to one based on marriage? Can you use an income letter attesting to 40,000 baht pm or do you on first change over require seasoned funds? Any information regarding such a change would be welcomed. Many thanks
ubonjoe
You can use the 40k baht income option to apply for the extension based upon marriage instead of retirement. No problem to change the reason for your extension as long as you have all the required supporting documents.

However, note that if the declared income is 65K or more, or they have 800K or more in the bank, or a combination of income/cash is 800K or more, the office might ‘encourage’ the applicant to stick with an extension based on retirement.
