Frank James
100 Code In a word...Preposterous. The English subtitles on the version I saw were worse and more nonsensical than anything I have ever seen, even on Thai TV. I expected higher quality, since the Dragon Tattoo guy was the lead, but no. And the American cop is a twitchy little guy who is almost impossible to watch. Can't give it a number. Wouldn't be fair, because I quit after half an hour. Stockholm looks like a beautiful city, but great scenery can never save a bad script. More or less true….the subs are google translate but i could roughly work it out….some terrible acting….swedes talking english never a good idea. (Warning: Spoiler Alert below) The plot seemed like it was adapted from The Following.

If you haven't see Bron Broen AKA The Bridge as yet, do yourself a favour and have a look, it's fantastic. Season 3 out this year. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733785/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Edited September 24, 2015 by Will27

Will27
A new series from welsh tv looks quite good ,its called Hinterland, just downloaded it from PB ,going to give it a whirl ,unfortunatly this afternoon had to sit through "Enders Game" ,our son loved it and downloaded it especially so we could watch it ,basically Harrison Ford ,complete with wrinkles and a teenage boy ,saving the universe. Hinterland looks interesting, ill give that a go I caught up with Hinterland the other week. Just have the final episode of the 4 to go. For anyone who liked any of these (The Fall, Broadchurch, Top of The Lake, True Detective) then you should like Hinterland. Not quite the same script and performances but still good: Yep, I just finished episode two last night and agree. IMO, it's really hard to beat the majority BBC produced shows. For those of you who enjoyed Hinterland, episodes 1 & 2 are available now along with a 1 off feature length special.

Navy Seals V Zombies and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l65kXubSkBc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z356p3qfEnI Well known for my prejudices towards zombie movies, I would assess the second movie as comedy and the first as unintentional comedy (that Navy Seals thing is really really bad, I am almost considering to watch it ).
jope
The Player is a new show with a lot of action, it is rather fast and the plot is not to far away from "Person of Interest". It is acceptable, if one can see it as a comic book made into a film (scenes and dialogues come from the book "Action Shows for Beginners - All the templates you need for scenes and dialogues", $1.99 at amazon). I might watch it once in a while. But I think, it really should not take itself seriously.

Popular Post Ahnsahn
Hey guys, thanks to this thread, I am only at page 32, I have learned of many movies and TV series, otherwise unbeknownst to me, that I will be watching. I would like to give something back and recommend a series titled, "The Hand of God". Its stars, Ron Perlman, and Andre Royo (The Wire) and supporting cast play their roles very good. The script takes a unique slant and each episode leaves you wanting more - and the cleverly crafted finale......I won't give away any spoilers away only to say that you must watch the last episode all the way to the very end and into the credits. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did!
BookMan
The Last Gladiators This sports documentary came out in 2011. I was unaware of it until today. One of the better documentaries of this type I have seen. You do not need to be a Hockey fan to appreciate this. I know almost nothing about ice hockey myself. 8/10 from me. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_last_gladiators_2011/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=So8x4pcCtw8

That 'sound' was the sound of PJ flat lining after that scene-ending, miraculous breath of life, which is a fitting end to the emotional roller coaster ride of the season finale: The loss of PJ, next-in-line blood heir, is (to be?) replaced by the birth of Tessie's baby? Stay tuned!
GrantSmith
Big night of viewing coming up with a couple of new shows kicking off, the farewell of a long standing crime drama and new season of some favourites... Today saw the launch of much anticipated shows "Quantico" and "Blood & Oil" kicking off for the "abc" network... Family Guy launched it's 14th season with a double episode and The Simpson's kicked off their 27th season. We also saw the final CSI (the original) apparently with a host of old favourites making cameo's. The third season of Ray Donovan comes to an end as well, my money's on Mickey still being alive at the end of it
Popular Post Tywais
Just watched Tomorrowland with George Clooney. IMDB rating 6.6. A Disney production and the CGI was excellent but found it a bit dry in parts with long dialogues. Probably more suited to the younger crowd but I did enjoy it. Raffey Cassidy's performance was tops IMO. "Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory."
ExpatJ
Everest was baaaad. Even the imax effect cannot mask how poorly they strung the story together…..one of the greatest screwups on an everest …. a perfect storm of bad decision making and bad luck…..jon krakauer's book into thin air was great …this sucked. l really enjoyed this movie (in imax 3d)! And have also read the book.
