After Kanye West came under fire for implying that slavery was a “choice” for African-Americans on TMZ Live, one of his most successful business relationships — with Adidas — may be at risk.

In a new interview with Bloomberg TV, Adidas AG Chief Executive Officer Kasper Rorsted said the company has not discussed dropping the rapper yet, and tried to distance himself from West’s comments throughout the interview.

“We neither comment or speculate on every single comment that our external creators are making,” Rorsted said, noting that West’s Yeezy line is highly valued at Adidas. “Kanye has been and is a very important part of our strategy and has been a fantastic creator and that’s where I’m going to leave it. I’m not going to comment on every comment that he or somebody else are making.”

Definitely dump him.

If some white celeb had said that, they'd be dumped.

So why not that fool?

Kanye said something?

Why should I care?

His mutterings have become deeply politicized. His recent fan tweet to "trump" has "trump" suggesting that black Americans love him now. They do not. That was before the slavery comment. So yes like it or not, what he says is newsworthy.

Don't Adidas and other sportswear companies use low cost overseas labour to make their products? Some might call it slave labour. It could be argued that ditching Kanye West would be hypocritical.
