Visa Free Entry Malaysia

Featured Replies

Hi everyone Regarding visa free entry to Malaysia would this mean that you could do this with just under 6 months validity on a U K passport.

Am I correct in thinking that I can get a 30 day stamp into Malaysia ( sadao ) then turn around and come back into Thailand for a visa free entry.

Many thanx

Having done a little google research on these

things this weekend I would imagine you

as a UK citizen would be given a 3 month

"permission to stay" stamp on crossing

Thailand's southern border. More than

enough time to do a little shopping.

There is however specification of a 6

month passport validity but I believe

that also applies to entry to LOS.

Believe you Brits have an embassy here.

Maybe see them about a new passport ?

Good luck.

:o

Edit : PS This is FREE at both borders

True about the three months and also about the required minimum six months validity of your passport . Thailand, however, only requires 30 days validity.

Well two outta three ain't bad for a beginner !

Malaysia requires 6 month passport validity to stamp you in. Myanmar and Vietnam I believe are the only other countries in the area without the 6 month requirement.

Thailand requires six month validity for visa issue. Visa exempt entry is not so restricted.

Passport (must be valid at least 30 days and in good condition)

This at least for US, UK- and EU-passports.
