BANGKOK — A sound equipment vendor was held incommunicado overnight at a military prison for providing his service to pro-election rallies, activists said.

After activists sounded the alarm about Uthai Taewpo’s disappearance, a junta spokesman on Monday confirmed its troops detained Uthai and questioned him at an army base in Bangkok. Uthai was released following his “cooperation,” the spokesman said.

Strong with the weak people, weak with the powerful one. The word "cowards" comes to my mind.

Bullies - one and all of them. They have never seen genuine battle against a foreign foe. All they do is turn their (stolen) power and their guns on the most defenceless and powerless of Thai people. And who knows if the junta tale about this chap 'co-operating' with them is true? The junta are proven pathological liars. We should not blindly trust a single word they say.

Scum, scum, scum - COWARDLY scum - the whole bunch of them!

when words and opinions are so powerful,

arresting is just a fantastic immeasurable

consequence  that the junta do not see.

What these cowards fail to understand is Thai people have had enough of this bully boy tactics, soon they will rise to end it.

How much longer can these clowns carry on messing things up.

Can only hope that justice will eventually be done and seen to be done.

Incidentally, are other posters noticing that VERY often in the last few days when we click 'like' for an anti-junta post - a sign comes up saying 'there was a problem' (or similar wording) and our like does not get registered (first time round)? I had to click 'like' three times on your post, Colin, before it would register  - so I don't know what is going on here ...

I thought it was my computer, but you are getting the same problem as me, interesting.

When i have been trying to open some posts this morning, i am getting the error 502 message, but when i open other posts no problems.

Right, Colin. And it happened to me again this very minute: I had to click 'like' for your above post three times before it was registered.

It is not your computer or mine: today I have used two different computers in two different towns - and the same problem is occurring.

I wonder if other posters are experiencing this blockage? I bet they are!

Purely coincidental, nothing political. You should separate that from this thread.

I had Error 520 this morning on many occasions (and reported).

It should read Sound man silenced after event junta to slow to react or worried if stopped during protest what might have happened ! I personally think he wont be the sound man at any future protests, reeducation (threats) can work wonders

Indeed. Nothing to charge somebody with? So what. Just lock 'em up anyway.

They might as well simply abolish law under the circumstances as it exists only on paper.
