Trip To Laos for O Visa

Trip to Laos for O Visa

OK, I had all my papers for my marriage extension ready to turn in to IO in Nonthaburi. My O Visa ends on June 17. Now a wedding came up in Ubon that we need to go to. If I do my extension for marriage I will not get my PP back in time to fly to Ubon on June 22. I know, should do a retirement extension. The embassy in DC wrote married to a Thai on the O Visa so the IO says have to do marriage. All that’s covered at another time on here already.

So, I need a little advice on getting an O Visa in Laos.

What paper work will I need? How long will it take (going 5-7 June)? Can I get the Visa in one day or does it take two? Will this O Visa from Laos do for another 90 days? Will I have a problem at IO coming back into Thailand with back to back O Visas? What type of O Visa do I ask for (do not wish to have a married to a Thai Visa again). Any suggestions for a good hotel and any other useful information will be greatly appreciated. I know some of you have lots of experience.

Thanks

You will get your passport back on the same day you do the application for the extension based upon marriage. They do not hold it until the extension is approved. You get a under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days from the date you apply.
