Tourism and health sectors working toward the same goal

 

 

BANGKOK, 7th June 2018 (NNT) - The Ministry of Tourism and Sports says the tourism and health sectors may need to work towards the same goal in order to generate higher revenue from health and wellness tourism. 

Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Khowsurat, today attended a meeting to find ways to successfully transform Thailand into a global medical hub. Participants agreed that the standards of health and tourism services should be at the same level particularly when it comes to hygiene and tourist safety. 

The meeting concluded that more public relations efforts are needed to cultivate awareness worldwide, informing the world community that there are medical experts in Thailand who can provide them with a wide array of services.

As long as tourism hygiene and safety standards are improved and not vice versa.

 

Actually that would have an adverse effect on the tourism health industry if safety improved and accident numbers diminished!

The ship has sailed. High end medical in Bangkok and other tourist spots has quadrupled or more, in less than a decade.

 

They need to get more creative and competitive as the Middle East has already identified big bucks go overseas for medical hospitality, so it is now taking off at home.

 

Thailand won't get the same continuing numbers for medical Tourism forever.
