Jonny, you introduced this concept of 'ethnic English' in a futile attempt to justify your own racism. I did NOT say that if you are born in England you are ethnically English. What I said was to be ethnically English, an individual would have to trace their bloodlines exclusively back to the indigenous tribes of England. Black English players cannot do that, therefore, they are NOT ethnically English. However, given that England has been invaded by Saxons, Romans, Vikings and Normans, and that immigrants have been arriving constantly in England for centuries, it is extremely unlikely that any of the white English players can trace their bloodlines exclusively back to the indigenous tribes, therefore they are NOT ethnically English either. All of the current England squad - black and white - are English by birth (expect for Guehi who is English by naturalisation). They are all English no matter how hard you try to wish otherwise. Again, as I have stated previously, 'Ethnic English' when applied to Englishmen who are alive today is little more than a theoretical concept unless you try - as you have done - to redefine 'Ethnic English' to include immigrant groups such as Romans and Normans. Unfortunately for you, this begs the question if these white immigrant groups are 'Ethnically English', why can't black immigrant groups also be considered 'Ethnically English'?
