2-B here in Jomtien. She told me she was submitting paperwork to immigration. She provided me with a copy of the TM 30 that she submitted, but I noticed that it was filed six days after I moved in, well past the 24 hour window, so I expected trouble. I took a Change of Address form, filled in, just in case. The officer took the form, noted the TM 30 receipt without comment and stamped me in for another 90 days. With the numerous reports of fines, I was expecting my turn to fork over 2000 baht, but it didn't happen. I renew my extension of stay in October, so maybe it's my turn in the barrel then. So far, no mention of two trips to Cambodia with no notification when I returned. Probably just a matter of time, if the reports are to be believed. I've been eyeing the Philippines, since there is less chicanery with visas and immigration. Plus, you can stay indefinitely on a tourist visa and only leave the country every three years. Slightly more expensive, but no need for an Income Affidavit from the Embassy. Worth considering, if you're tired of dealing with constant hassles.

105 pm today walked into immigration with my completed TM form.

Grabbed a number 7 in front.

Number came up IO nodded and said hello.

111 pm and 20 seconds walked out with my 90 day.

Very efficient 2 IO's working the 90 day desk.

6 minutes 20 seconds.

 

If you are on retirement, they may not be enforcing it - or not consistently.  My experience is that they are enforcing for family-desk extensions.  Not sure about other desks.
