Leaving The Kingdom and the 90 Day report date

Featured Replies

Just to reassure me, some advice please, more by way of confirmation.  I have my first Extension of Stay based on Retirement, together with my Multi Reentry stamp, so my first  90 day report is due 90 days after the Extension of Stay stamp date, that much I am okay with .  I am due to leave for a holiday in mid July.  Am I right in thinking that once I return, the 90 days will reset, starting from the date of my arrival back here?  In other words, my first 90 day report will be required 90 days after I re enter the Kingdom.

Many thanks in advance.

The extension of stay AND your 90 day reporting is living their own separate life you know. So IF the date of your extension of stay is the very same as the 90 days reporting report date then YES it is the same date  OTHERWISE NOT...

You are correct. Day one of the new 90 day count will be the date you enter the kingdom again.

You report 90 days after your last report or 90 days after your last entry, whichever is most recent.

Asch, dont be sorry, it is not for everyone to understand.

Do you mean that I write it in a bad explanatory way??? Or do you not understand the process??

OP, did you do a 90 day report on the same day you got your extension ? Your 90 day would have been due 90 days after entering UNLESS the immigration office did both on the same day. it makes sense that it was probably due and the office did it when you got extension, but not automatic. either way its in the back of your passport when its due.

It was his first extension of stay. The first extension of stay counts as doing a 90 day report. His first 90 day report is due 90 days from the date he did his extension.

But he apparently will be leaving the country before his first report is due. He will do his first report after his trip out of the country 90 days from the date he enters the country.

I don't wish to be insulting, but it's not the question that I asked and your reply,  that it either is or isn't,  is rather a statement of the blindingly obvious .

I just wanted to point out to you Piloman, as that I said 90 day report and extensions living their own separate life datum-wise. This is for future referencies in your case, just so you know...... I guess you just didn´t know.

Let is go now, you have your answers..

You should, however, bear in mind that your date of return to Thailand counts as Day 1 of the 90-day period - meaning that your next report will, in practice, be due 89 days thereafter.

However some Immigration offices resets the 90-day reporting when issuing a new extension of stay in the Kingdom, i.e. again counting from the date of issuing the ltest extension stamp. Some immigration offices will staple a note into the passport with a due date for next 90-day address report.

When entering the Kingdom one will report the address – and also the landlord – which reset the 90-day reporting to count from the date of the last entry-stamp.
