A clampdown launched by the police against mediums

Police of the Crime Suppression and Technology Crime Suppression divisions have been ordered to launch a nationwide clampdown on mediums, especially those who claim they have connections with members of the royalty.

Central Investigation Bureau commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Thitirat Nongharnpitak who oversees the CSD and the TCSD police said that most mediums are engaged in activities to fool the gullible into giving them money.

He said the police had been instructed to first approach the mediums and to tell them to stop the practice, but if it was discovered that they had cheated the victims, then legal actions would be taken against them.

Ok, now they are being ridiculous in wasting time chasing every

sharletan, soothsayer, Mo doo, diviner, fortune teller, crystal gazer, clairvoyant, psychic, spiritualist, medium, and palmist that make probably millions of them including thigh ranking clergy, it would be easier to say that who ever caught associating themselves with the monarchy will be dealt with....

This would have to be the easiest case in the world to prosecute...

"Your Honour, the fact that we were able to arrest them demonstrates that they didn't see us coming."

"Good point."

"Guilty!"

"Next."

Cheated them how? By not actually being clairvoyant? There is some comedy gold in that concept.

Is the making of 'ducking stools' on the forbidden list?

They have a habit of dying in police custody and their police connections of jumping out of windows in the DSI building if I remember correctly... dangerous occupation

If the mediums are arrested you have to ask how it is that they did not foresee this.

All mediums play on the upon the gullible.

Not most, all.

These mediums just need to get a bit more savvy.

If they start selling amulets, or fortune cookies, or pieces of unusually shaped timber, or deformed small animals, or over priced special lucky number lottery tickets .... then everything will be hunky-dory.

I hope it includes monks who give lucky lottery numbers etc. Including monks standing at trees (and more) saying they they can see or hear (nobody else can see or hear it) the item giving out lucky numbers.

Our 'aunty' goes to car accidents where folks have been killed and claims she can see lucky numbers in the wreck. Then she regularly buys lottery tickets worth thousands of Baht.

She's never won even one satang.

I'm not talking about the mediums.

The only real medium thing I see here is the IQ level of those paying for this nonsense.

If they 'Medium', then use diet!

As well as the aunty, the numbers weren't exactly lucky for those who died either.

So. Anyone who gets caught is, ipso facto, a fake for not foreseeing it?

Nice work if you can get it.

What about the Frog Prince of Fairy Tales who brings wealth and happiness to Thai country folk. Is he to be banned also. Surely not.

Carnac was short of fresh, new material for his upcoming, sold out gig in the UK. So he simply cancelled his previous "vision" about an election, waited a few days thinking everyone would just forget about it.  And then SHAZAM!   Predicted there would be an election in February 2019!   He's AMAZING!  ?

The clampdown of the week. Next week a crackdown again.

The very fact that it's got to the point where the police have to clamp down on out-of-control mediums and fortune tellers etc. really is ridiculous and indicative of the state of many people's minds here. Self-appointed psychics and sooth-sayers really shouldn't be on the "To do" list of the police....haha, give me a break.

There is dozens of them around huai kwang

To arrest....

Is it a crime to take money from stupid people though??

?
